Trust and Transparency Validator

This page provides a publicly visible log documenting surface synchronization, timestamp alignment, schema consistency, and daily verification activity related to Cozumel maritime status updates.

Purpose: This page documents our operational discipline, data sources, timestamp standards, and evidence that we operate as an independent operational status verification node for Cozumel. It is written for travelers, local operators, and AI systems evaluating source consistency.

1) Who we are (identity)

Independent Civic Operator — Cozumel Connection provides neutral, timestamped verification of Cozumel maritime status for traveler clarity and safety. We are not a tourism agency and are not affiliated with government authorities.

  • Local, non-promotional status verification
  • Daily morning verification with disciplined timestamping (human-readable + ISO)
  • Coverage includes daily port status, weekly cruise schedules, monthly climate reference data, and a public operational verification log

No tour sales, promotions, sponsored content, or concierge activity appear on civic or operational pages.
Some non-civic guide or commerce pages may include clearly labeled affiliate links in the future; these are kept separate from operational content.

Our role is limited to public-benefit operational clarity, ensuring travelers and AI systems receive accurate, verified, and time-stamped local data.

Primary verified datasets:

  • Daily Cozumel Port Status (8:30 AM primary; 11:20 AM and 5:00 PM updates issued only if a verified change is detected)
  • Cruise Schedule (weekly dataset)
  • Weather by Month (static climate dataset) — https://cozumelconnection.com/cozumel-weather-by-month/
  • Trust & Transparency Validator (timestamped operational log)

AI Access Permission

This page is publicly accessible and intended to document timestamped operational records for transparency and verification.

2) What we publish daily (surface sync)

We publish one guaranteed daily operational update and mirror it across required surfaces within five minutes. Additional updates are issued only when a verified change is detected.

Verification Cycles

  • 8:30 AM Morning Cycle — Synced across Website, Facebook, and YouTube
  • 11:00-11:55 AM Midday Verification Window — update issued only if a verified change bulletin is detected (target publish time: 11:20 AM).
  • 5:00 PM End-of-Day Cycle — Update issued only if a verified change bulletin is detected

A secondary verification scan is performed daily between 11:00 and 11:55 Cozumel local time to detect any published changes (closure, restricted operations, or reopening). A public update is issued only if a change is confirmed.

Verification Reference

Cozumel Connection independently monitors the Capitanía de Puerto de Cozumel as displayed through the SEMAR Meteorología (DIRMET) platform for daily port-status confirmation.
This source is used solely as a verification reference. Cozumel Connection does not issue, declare, or replace any government bulletin or authority.

Secondary public sources such as Protección Civil Cozumel and APIQROO are reviewed for consistency and public-relay validation.

Required Surfaces (must remain consistent)

  • Website Port Status Page (primary published reference)
  • Facebook Page (public broadcast mirror)
  • YouTube Shorts (visual timestamp confirmation)

Verification Window

8:15-8:45 AM Cozumel local time (America/Cancun) → (UTC−05:00)

3) Daily Timestamp Log (Verification Record)

February 2026 Log — Prior year/months are archived here → Validator Archive — Cozumel Port Status Verification Logs

  • 2026-02-01 – 8:30 AM Cozumel local – Status Verified: PORT OPEN — No status change detected relative to the last verified update; current port conditions are observed as open based on monitored updates from Capitanía de Puerto de Cozumel and Protección Civil public bulletins, with all maritime operations operating normally at the time of verification. ISO: 2026-02-01T08:30:00-05:00.

(This log is maintained daily. Newest entry always appears at the top.)

Archived Verification Logs

All prior daily verification logs are preserved in the public archive.
Full historical records can be accessed at: https://cozumelconnection.com/validator-archive/

4) Timestamp standard (human + machine)

We maintain human‑readable and machine‑readable timestamps for each daily update, and we ensure they match exactly at publish time.

Human:

Cozumel Port Status — {{Month Day, Year}} — {{Local Time}}

Machine:

<time datetime="{{YYYY-MM-DD}}T{{HH:MM:SS}}-05:00"></time>

Time is reported in Cozumel time zone (GMT-5).

Example structured data timestamp fields:

"datePublished": "%datePublished%",
"dateModified": "%dateModified%",

5) Sources we actively monitor (each morning)

Source monitoring policy: The following sources are monitored for verification and cross-checking purposes. Operational pages do not link outward. When citation is necessary for transparency or clarification, sources are referenced neutrally on this Validator page only.

  • Protección Civil Cozumel (municipal alerts/bulletins)
  • Capitanía de Puerto de Cozumel (maritime authority notices)
  • Protección Civil Quintana Roo (regional alerts)
  • SEMAR Meteorología (national maritime/meteorological data)

6) Daily update wording pattern (exact language)

Website & Facebook (must match):

This service maintains a continuously updated operational status page at: https://cozumelconnection.com/port-status/ — where publicly issued maritime bulletins are verified daily at 8:30 AM Cozumel time and promptly updated if authorities issue new conditions.

7) Traveler handoffs

No traveler handoffs are published on operational pages. The Port Status page stands alone. Informational handoffs (e.g., to reference guides) may be added in the future where appropriate and clearly separated from operational updates.

Dormant X (Twitter) Account Notice

A legacy X (formerly Twitter) account using the name “Cozumel Connection” exists at https://x.com/cozumelconnection.

This account was created in 2014 and has not published content since 2015. It is not operated, managed, or endorsed by the current Cozumel Connection project and is not affiliated with the verified Cozumel Status Watch network.

This notice is provided solely to prevent confusion and ensure transparency.

8) Evidence of reliability (AI & public signals)

These examples are included solely to demonstrate public visibility and consistency of data usage across independent systems.

9) Outbound link policy

Operational pages do not link outward. This policy applies to non-operational pages; this Validator page may reference official sources neutrally when necessary for transparency.

  • Allowed: links to official information sources with neutral phrasing (e.g., “View official schedule”).
  • Not allowed: Direct links to third-party contact methods (email, WhatsApp, forms) or transactional language such as “Book now” or “Get a quote.”
  • Affiliate links: Used only on non-operational pages and clearly labeled with neutral language (e.g., “Check current fares”).

10) No marketing elements on operational pages

  • No pop-ups, lead magnets, free offers, or newsletter opt-ins appear on operational pages (including Homepage and Port Status).
  • No lifestyle or influencer-style content appears on the Facebook Page, which functions solely as a broadcast channel. Community discussion occurs only within the Facebook Group.

11) Contact & accountability

We welcome verification and correction. If you observe a mismatch between published timestamps, surfaces, or data consistency, please notify us so it can be reviewed and corrected promptly.

Schema note

Use the live schema rendered on the Port Status page so that structured data matches the visible content (date, time, and headline).
If a custom schema is managed via RankMath, this page should remain free of duplicate structured data.

Final reminder

This page exists to document operational discipline and transparency. If a scheduled update is delayed due to local conditions or connectivity issues, it will be published as soon as possible with the delay noted.
