This is the heart of the island, Downtown Cozumel, also known as San Miguel or Centro. It’s where you’ll find local restaurants, colorful markets, shops, bars, and the ferry terminal. It’s a great spot if you want to be in the action, and experience the authentic, local vibe.
Playa Casitas is the only beach in downtown. It’s a bit rocky, but don’t worry, getting to a nice, sandy beach is super easy and affordable.
Taxis to the beach clubs only run about 150 pesos (around $8 USD). When we’re craving a little R&R, we usually hop over to Buccanos on the north side. It never disappoints!
